Your guide to successfully hiring a Flexicoach

Flexi Coach offers gymnastics clubs a smart, responsive way to stay fully staffed without long-term commitments. Whether you’re:

  • Covering for a sick team member
  • Expanding your timetable
  • Bringing in a coach with specialist skills

Flexi Coaches help you maintain high-quality delivery and club continuity.

GETTING STARTED

  1. Create Your Account.
  • Register as a Club for free on the Flexi Coach platform.

  • Verify your email address.

  • Login with your password.

  • Complete your payment details and set up your stripe account.

    1. Setup your profile. Add as much interesting information about your club as possible.

There are then two ways you can use Flexicoach. You can either search for coaches to fill coaching gaps, or you can post a listing advertising a role. Lets go through each of these:

  1. SEARCH FOR A COACH

You do this by browsing the Coach Directory. You can do this by just clicking the search button and then using the interactive map to find coaches nearby.

Alternatively you can use filters to find coaches based on:

  • Discipline
  • Location
  • Availability

Tip: We recommend selecting coaches within 1 hour of your venue to improve the chances of acceptance.

REQUEST A BOOKING

Once you find a coach you can simply purchase and request services directly through Flexi Coach

Coaches are notified instantly and can accept or decline your request.

COACH CONFIRMATION

Once accepted, the coach must add your club to their BG membership. This step gives you access to verify their credentials. Even though they confirm on sign up that they have the appropriate accreditation it's important that you check on the Justgo platform using their BG membership number.

Essential Credential Checks (via British Gymnastics) for level 2 and above include:

✅ DBS Certificate ✅ Coaching Qualification Certificate ✅ Safeguarding Certificate ✅ Positive Coaching Certificate ✅ Flexibility Training Certificate

These checks ensure your Flexi Coach is qualified, insured, and ready to coach.

PREPARING FOR YOUR FLEXICOACH

Set your coach up for success by having:

  • Clear emergency & safeguarding procedures
  • A named contact on-site
  • Information on session structure, class culture, and equipment

(Nice touch!) A short welcome pack or quick intro on arrival

DURING THE PLACEMENT

Introduce the coach to your team and gymnasts

  • Share key themes, class goals, and warm-ups
  • Offer support where needed
  • Leave a positive review after – it helps build trust and quality in the system

AFTER THE SESSION

💡 Great Flexi Coaches are worth keeping in your network!

  • Record their contact details and strengths
  • Invite them back for future sessions or terms
  • Offer a testimonial or referral
  • Build a trusted pool of reliable, high-quality support coaches over time.

COMMON PITFALLS

⚠️ Last-minute bookings with no induction ⚠️ Unclear or unrealistic expectations ⚠️ Failing to check BG credentials ⚠️ Poor or late communication ⚠️ Skipping reviews – feedback helps the whole system

  1. POST A JOB LISTING

This is the second way that a club can use Flexicoach. To do this you need to post a listing using the link at the top of the page. Fill in the details about the role. When it is. How many hours. How much you will pay. Then select the option messaging. This means that the coach can message you if they are interested. Any payment of wages is made directly between the club and the Coach with Flexicoach simply charging the club a listing fee.

After you submit your listing you will receive an email with a payment link on. Your listing will not run until this has been paid. The fee is £10 for a 4 week listing. If you would like to renew the listing just let us know and we will send you another payment link.
